AUDIOSLAVE To Appear On SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE Tribute CD

AUDIOSLAVE have been tapped to contribute a track to "Sly 2K", a SLY AND THE FAMILY STONE tribute album due out this spring, according to Rolling Stone magazine.

The disc is being produced by Nile Rodgers (DURAN DURAN, DAVID BOWIE) and is set to include additional cuts by BECK, MOBY, THE ROOTS, LENNY KRAVITZ, MAROON 5, FLOETRY and the BLACK EYED PEAS.

Led by Sly Stone, the FAMILY STONE was comprised of men and women, and blacks and whites, making the band the first fully integrated group in rock's history. Along with James Brown, Stone is widely credited for bringing hard funk into the mainstream.
